The E138i features our bespoke Air Suspended Space Frame Chassis (ASC) designed to redefine your travel experience.

Our ASC chassis features a meticulously engineered system comprising six air suspension bellows – two in the front and four in the rear. These bellows, complemented by precision levelling valves, ensure a consistently optimal ride height, guaranteeing superior handling and unmatched comfort. Regardless of varying passenger or cargo loads, our advanced valves dynamically adjust air pressure within the suspension components, maintaining the desired height effortlessly.

To further support and enhance our suspension system, the ASC chassis boasts six dual-acting shock absorbers, strategically positioned by our expert engineers to mitigate heavy vibrations and impacts during both compression and tension phases of the suspension system.

Adding to the ASC's suspension system are two longitudinal torsion rods, engineered to deliver stability, control, and enhanced traction. These rods play a pivotal role in maintaining ideal driveline angles by adeptly absorbing axle braking and driving torque, ultimately minimising vibrations and extending the life of critical driveline components.

Retarder / Intarder System

Retarders are available as an optional feature. They can be effectively employed during extended descents, mitigating the load and strain on the primary brake system. This enhancement contributes to both the overall safety of the vehicle and the extended lifespan of the brake discs.

Dual Acting Shock Absorbers

Automatic Transmission

The vehicle offers the option of an automatic transmission gearbox, with the choice between our Allison and ZF Ecolite counterparts. ECASS System

Full Disc Brake System
